West Suffolk Trundle *** Edition 1

8th June 2003

Our first ride will be a journey of 20 miles incorporating a raven, a fox, some hounds, a Roman and, weather permitting, some new fangled flying machines
The starting point is at the well-known ?Ravenwood Hall Country Hotel? at Blackthorpe. Arrive between 10 and 11a.m. for an 11.00 a.m. departure. Tea, coffee and buns hopefully available from the hotel. There is plenty of space for car parking ? Please park tidily.
Some 15 miles into our ride, lunch is at the Bradfield Fox and Hounds. The return journey of 5 miles takes us back to the Ravenwood, where afternoon tea will be available.
As per VCC Trudge rides, older bicycles will be more than welcome. Newer machines may be suitably weighted down to prevent those riders getting to lunch before those more traditionally minded.

We recommend you wear the latest in technical fabrics as modelled in the 1908 country cyclists shop brochure. (tweed hats optional)

(or email info@westsuffolktrundle.org.uk ? what ever that means)

The Ravenwood Hotel and the Fox and Hounds will need to know approximate numbers (especially if you want feeding). Please pre-book your meals at the Fox & Hounds via us so we can provide Neil and Sally with the details. Please notify us if you book a meal and are then unable to attend.

Both Ravenwood Hall and the Fox and Hounds can offer overnight accommodation if required.

Bradfield Fox & Hounds tel: 01284 386379 or email: bradfieldfox@aol.com

Driving to Ravenwood Hall:
If travelling from west of Blackthorpe, we suggest going via Rushbrooke Lane and North Hill Covert to avoid a nasty turning across the A14. See OS155.
